Simon is a Business Development Manager for the energy sector at Criticaleye. His role encompasses growing Criticaleye's membership across the natural resources and extractive industries and the wider energy sector, all of which are undergoing a profound transition as policy change, combined with technological disruption, constantly challenge assumptions.
His role will be to align the insights of Members of the Criticaleye Community with those companies and executives most in need of external reference points.
He has 12+ years of international business development experience across multiple industries, with the past 7 within the energy sector in a variety of roles. At Platts he sold across a wide variety of commodities from crude oil and natural gas, through to power (nuclear, thermal, RES), shipping, metals and biofuels, before launching and Chairing investor summits for Ministry of Energy clients in emerging territories.
Most recently he headed up the energy sector for ITE Group, one of the largest exhibition organizers, with remit over sales, production and operations of the UK team, and strategic planning globally for their portfolio of large-scale exhibitions in Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe. He was the project and sales lead for the 2016 World Energy Congress in Istanbul, the world's pre-eminent energy summit.
He is currently pursuing an MBA in International Oil & Gas Management at CEPMLP, a specialist energy institute in Dundee.
