Dame Alison Carnwath is currently an independent director for Zurich Insurance Group AG, BASF AG and PACCAR, and a Non-executive Director of BP. Dame Alison is also a Senior Advisor to Evercore Partners, and Chair of the Strategic Advisory Board at Livingbridge. Between 2008 and 2018 she was Chair of FTSE 100 property company Landsec.
Dame Alison worked in investment banking and corporate finance for 20 years before pursuing a portfolio career. During her banking career, she became the first female director of J. Henry Schroder Wagg & Co. She was also a senior partner at Phoenix Securities and a MD at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. She has served as a NED of Friends Provident, Gallaher Group, Glas Cymru Cyfyngedig (Welsh Water), Barclays and Man Group.
Alison was appointed a Dame in 2014 for her services to business. She sits on the Advisory Board of Criticaleye.
