Is the Gig Economy a Fad?

Regardless of how it's defined, the gig economy will continue to grow as more organisations expect to make greater use of contingent workers. This report by EY found that 56 per cent of organisations are using gig workers to complete projects where the specific expertise is beyond the capability of the existing workforce.
