Switched On: The Business of Energy Efficiency

This report by E.ON UK examines the impact of energy costs on businesses, given that 20 per cent of businesses spend more than £250,00 or more on energy. 

Key points include:

  • The latest research shows only 40 percent of EDMs (energy decision makers) are now speaking to their employees about sustainability issues.
  • Brand image and identity are helping to drive more long-term energy strategies, particularly in consumer facing businesses.
  • Only 21 percent of managers believe that their employees understand their company’s energy policy.
  • An astonishing 50 percent of manufacturing managers believe their employees have no understanding of their company’s energy policy.
