Chng joined the Board of IREIT Global in 2021. IREIT Global is the first Singapore-listed real estate investment trust, with the investment strategy of principally investing in a portfolio of income-producing real estate in Europe. The company's portfolio has a total lettable area of approximately 384,000 sqm and a portfolio valuation of €889.7 million.

 

Chng has over 35 years of experience in the financial industry. He recently retired from Singapore Exchange Ltd after nine years as its Chief Financial Officer. Before that, he worked with DBS Bank and JP Morgan, where he held senior finance positions in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and New York.

 

Chng has contributed to the development of the accounting profession locally in the areas of Education and Professional Development. He was a Board Member of the Singapore Accountancy Commission and past President of the Singapore division of CPA Australia. He currently sits on the Advisory Board of the School of Accountancy at the Singapore Management University.

 

Chng currently serves on the Board of AWWA Ltd, a social service agency in Singapore, the Investor Relations Professionals Association (Singapore) Ltd and NUHS Fund Ltd, where he was appointed Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.

 

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Fellow of CPA Australia.
