Technology Vision 2025: AI: A Declaration of Autonomy

As we enter a new chapter in technology, the proliferation of accessible and ever-present AI will drive new levels of autonomy throughout businesses, evolving the ability to reinvent with tech, data and AI. In this report, Criticaleye Partner Accenture explores what happens when AI acts autonomously at the centre of enterprise technology, speaks on behalf of brands, inhabits robotic bodies and collaborates on behalf of employees.

Key takeaways include:

  • Currently, 80 percent of executives agree chatbots that sound similar are creating differentiation challenges for organisations. The companies that successfully introduce AI with personalities are looking at a technology that can build relationships with customers and meet their needs
  • New autonomy for AI also means new autonomy for systems and people, and a refined relationship with trust. By using natural language communication, 80 percent of executives believe this will increase trust and collaboration between humans and robots
  • 75 percent of executives believe that only by building trust with employees will organisations be able to fully capture the benefits of automation enabled by Gen AI. Therefore, opportunities will be lost unless business leaders secure enough trust from employees and consumers to engage with AI's unprecedented capabilities
