Ian is the former Global SVP of Organisation Implementation at Sodexo. He previously led the team responsible for transition support and deployment of the global organisation model and processes to deliver the company's long-term growth strategy. He ran a global programme to support the company in reorganising and adapting its business operating model, ways of working and cost structures to focus on growth and agility in the post-COVID-19 environment. In this role, Ian reported directly to the Group CEO of Sodexo, which employs some 460,000 people across 70 countries, serving 100 million consumers daily.
Prior to Sodexo, Ian was Managing Director at NATS, the company in charge of air traffic control in the UK, where he was responsible for the regulated business with a turnover of some £700m and 3,000 employees.
In the last 15 years, Ian has been involved in developing company strategies - both nationally and internationally - and has shaped the future of many businesses, from developing global product platforms to creating growth strategies and capability improvement models. Ian has mentored and acted as a sounding board for all leadership levels across the various companies he has worked for.
Ian also has significant experience in change management and has developed his own methodology for developing high-performance teams, which has delivered outstanding results. An experienced Board Member and executive, Ian has also worked internationally in the transportation sector, running businesses in Europe, Africa and South America.
