Dennis was previously Deputy Chair of Pets at Home Plc, and is now Non-Executive Director at the business. He was also Non-executive Chair of Watches of Switzerland Group until 2020. He has over 25 years’ experience in finance and strategy roles and as CFO of UK Plc organisations. 

Dennis has nearly 20 years of experience as a Chair, SID and NED of publicly listed and privately-owned retail and service businesses. He was previously Chair of Halfords Group plc and Connect Group plc, and held the role of SID at Superdry plc, Xchanging plc, and Premier Farnell plc.  

During his executive career, Dennis was CFO of Cookson Group plc and Finance Director of Medeva plc. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds an MBA from the University of Cape Town.

Dennis and his family set up a charity in 2002 to support an AIDS Hospice and Creche in a rural area in South Africa primarily to support children orphaned or affected by the AIDS pandemic.
