Ian is an Independent Non-executive Director at Tencent, a Chinese investment holding company whose subsidiaries provide mass media, entertainment, internet and mobile phone value-added services and operates online advertising services in China and globally.
Ian is an Advisor on the Board of Planet N Group, an emerging-market focused, high-tech and social impact investment firm (based in London and Karachi), dedicated to development through digitisation across Egypt, Pakistan, the UAE and the UK.
He previously was an Independent Non-executive Director on the Board of Panther Media Group (OSN) which provides direct-broadcast satellite, IPTV and OTT television services to customers in the MENA region.
Prior to his current roles, Ian was Chief Executive Officer of UK Broadband and PCCW Mobile in Hong Kong, which he followed up by being the Managing Director of the International Projects business for PCCW. He was also CEO of SmarTone and has held various senior positions at Cable & Wireless and Hong Kong Telecom.
Ian is a Fellow Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors.
