Sunny is an experienced international board director with a portfolio spanning banking, digital assets, investment management and deep technology. He is a Board Member at AMINA Bank (formerly SEBA Bank AG), a Swiss-regulated digital-asset bank, where he chairs the Audit & Risk Committee. He is Chairman of Bitcoin Capital AG, a Swiss issuer of exchange-traded digital-asset products, and serves on the Board of Mixverse AG, a deep-tech company developing advanced photonics and display technologies.
Sunny is also currently President of CFA Society Switzerland, one of CFA Institute’s largest national societies, serving within his six-year Board term. He was an Advisory Board Member of Digipal, an AI-enabled wealthtech company that was subsequently acquired by Adviscent AG. He is Founder & CEO of WIR Advisory AG, advising family offices and other clients on wealth management, financial services, digital assets and board governance.
He is developing a portfolio of international non-executive directorships, drawing on extensive experience across wealth management, investment banking, private equity, hedge funds and global markets. His areas of expertise include AI and emerging technologies, FinTech and digital assets, digital transformation, M&A, risk, audit and governance. He is particularly interested in businesses undergoing significant technological or strategic transformation.
Prior to his portfolio career, Sunny spent more than 25 years at UBS in senior global and Asia-Pacific leadership roles. His roles included Group Managing Director, senior leadership positions in Global Wealth Management and Chief Risk Officer roles, as well as membership of senior executive and management committees. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of UBS Canada and as a trustee of the Lifeline Center for Child Development in New York.
