Jamie is currently Chair of Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, a FTSE 100 company.
 
Previously Chair of Cobham plc, RPC Group, Ibstock Group plc, Tyman plc, Lafarge Tarmac and MBA Polymers Inc, a private equity-backed recycled plastics business, Jamie has also served as Chair of the Defence Support Group and was a Non-executive Director of two other FTSE 250 companies: RMC Group plc and Kelda Group plc.
 
From 2001 until its acquisition by Cookson Group plc in April 2008, Jamie was Chief Executive of Foseco plc, an international business serving the foundry and steel making industries. He led the buy-out of Foseco from Burmah Castrol in 2001, which culminated in floatation on the main market in 2005.
 
Jamie's early career was as a consultant with Bain and Co and AT Kearney, before joining Burmah Castrol in 1991. He rose to Chief Executive of Burmah Castrol Chemicals, before leading the Foseco buy-out.
 
Jamie was educated at Oxford, holds an MBA from INSEAD and is a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
