Ron is a Criticaleye Board Mentor. He was appointed Senior Independent Director at Polypipe Group in March 2014, prior to the company listing on the London Stock Exchange, and then promoted to Chair in 2015. Polypipe is a FTSE 250 company and one of Europe's largest manufacturers of piping systems, water management solutions and energy-efficient ventilation systems
Ron is also a Non-executive Director of the Danish plastic packaging business, Faerch Plast Group, a company which was backed by private equity firm EQT until July 2017 when it was sold to Advent International. In 2016 Ron was appointed Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Walstead Group, a business backed by Rutland Partners. In the UK Walstead owns Wyndeham Group and is the UK’s largest magazine and commercial web offset printing group, employing more than 1,000 staff across six business units.
Along with his commercial roles, Ron is Chair of the Packaging Federation in the UK, and Chair of the Alliance for European Polymers. He previously served as a Non-executive Director with British Polythene Industries, a FTSE Small Cap polythene products manufacturer.
Prior to developing his Non-executive career, Ron was Chief Executive of RPC Group from 1989 to May 2013. RPC is a FTSE 250 plastic manufacturing company, which employs over 24,000 people and has an annual turnover of more than £2.5 billion. Ron created RPC Group by leading an MBO from a division of Reedpack in 1991, and subsequently floated the company on the London Stock Exchange in 1993.
