Fortifying the Groundwork: How BAT Strengthened its Talent Pipeline to Ensure Success


When Rudi Kindts became British American Tobacco’s HR Director in July 2004, he realised very quickly that the talent pipeline was depleting. BAT had traditionally been very active in the area of talent development, exercising best practice in recruitment, identifying potential, and development. Nevertheless, the depletion was evident, and Rudi set out to rearticulate the company’s talent strategy.
