Does the Market Reward Ethical Behaviour?

Does ‘doing the right thing’ cost, or does the market reward ethical behaviour?

For that matter, do employees reflect the personal satisfaction of their company’s ethical reputation, or does it put their managers in an untenable situation of resolving the conflict between altruistic and self-interested motivation?

To what extent are potential employees attracted, or talented employees retained, by a company that is seen to be ‘good’?

Criticaleye asked Members from a range of industries and departments to assess whether the market would reward ethical behaviour at this Discussion Group chaired by Organizational Edge's Charles Sutton.
