Plot Your Path to Net Zero: Focus on Incentives

Businesses will play a vital role if the UK is to achieve its Net Zero ambitions by 2050. Although many businesses are prepared to invest in measures to reduce their emissions, some are also concerned about the potential cost impact on their operations. In this latest report, Criticaleye Advisory Member, E.ON, takes a closer look at the area of incentives and asks over 60 business for their views.

Key takeaways include:
  • When asked whether the Government’s current Net Zero strategies offer enough incentives for them to invest in decarbonisation methods, 75 percent of businesses surveyed said ‘No’.
  • Only 13 percent of businesses said they had taken advantage of the Non-Domestic RHI, Feed-in Tariff (FIT) schemes or the Energy Technology List (ETL).
  • 66 percent said they welcome the Chancellor’s ‘super-deduction’ tax incentive, using it to invest in ‘green’ equipment.
