Energizing the Enterprise Journey to 5G and IoT

There is a risk that the IoT and 5G technology will fall short of their potential to transform enterprises, finds this report by EY

Key points include:
  • Over a quarter of UK enterprises are already investing in IoT capability, and this is set to increase to more than a half in the next two years
  • 40 percent of enterprises are concerned that 5G will lead to more vulnerability to cyber threats
  • 32 percent believe 5G lacks relevance to overall technology and business strategy
  • 40 percent highlight a poor understanding of the benefits as a barrier to adoption
