Key findings from Criticaleye's HR Director Research:

  • Strengthening leadership capability is the top priority for HRDs, CHROs and Chief People Officers
  • 43% say the senior leadership team is the HRD's most challenging internal stakeholder
  • Asked where they most need to improve, 41% of HRDs said building alignment on the top team 
  • 56% of HR leaders say they need to improve the quality of debate on performance
  • 39% say investment in new tech is where they are seeing the biggest changes in their business
  • Pressure to provide returns to shareholders is the top reason execs become focused on short-term goals
